Working Pattern: Night shifts (19:45–08:00) on a 4 nights one week / 3 nights the following week rotation, including alternate weekends

We are now expanding our services with the opening of our brand-new Short Breaks Service in Southwick
, offering essential short breaks and support for individuals and families across the community. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team from the very beginning, helping to shape a new service that will make a genuine difference.
We’re seeking compassionate, reliable Wellbeing Support Practitioners to work waking nights to join our Southwick Short Breaks team. You will play a key role in providing safe, respectful, and person‑centred support to individuals with a range of needs throughout the night.
You’ll ensure the comfort and wellbeing of each person, assist with bedtime and morning routines, provide emotional reassurance, carry out checks, and handle any personal care or health needs as required. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a calm, supportive overnight environment and takes pride in providing consistent, high‑quality care.
Your Rota- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
- Hours: 19:45 – 08:00
- Person‑Centred Support: Deliver compassionate, tailored care that respects each individual’s preferences and routines.
- Night‑Time Monitoring: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all service users through regular checks and prompt responses to any needs during the night.
- Personal Care: Provide sensitive and dignified personal care where required.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medication following Cura Care UK’s policies and procedures.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate overnight records and handover notes for daytime teams.
- Environment Management: Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and calm throughout the shift.

Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and effective communication across shifts. - Experience in a care or support setting, ideally with adults with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and calm under pressure
- Ability to work independently and use initiative during quiet periods
- Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety principles
- Basic understanding of personal care routines and medication administration
- A valid UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards)
- First Aid certification
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs overnight
- Up to £29,047.20 per annum
- Guaranteed 24 hours per week minimum (full‑time up to 42 hours)
- Paid induction training and paid e‑learning
- 33 days annual leave (FTE), including bank holidays
- £250 refer a friend scheme for a FTE employee

- 2 years anniversary – An additional FTE 1 day holiday. Then an additional FTE 1 day holiday every three years, up to a maximum of 5 additional days
