Description
Our client needs candidates who have experience with the fundamentals of networking (routers/protocols/etc). Secret clearance and Sec+ are required for these roles. There are several different teams, each with slightly different responsibilities, but the key is the networking knowledge/experience, and they will be aligned with the team who best matches our candidates’ skills.
For example, the TR/IP NOC team provides all facets of Incident Management supporting a Wide Area Network (WAN) for DISA in a 24×7 environment, specifically Layer 2 and Layer 3 support. They are responsible for remote monitoring and management of the WAN utilizing client‑provided tools, documenting network outages, hazardous conditions, site locations, and any type of service degradation using the TMS Remedy trouble ticketing system.
They perform troubleshooting and fault resolution of voice, video, and data circuits and serve as the liaison between DISA and our customer.
Other teams’ key missions include:
- JRSS (Joint Regional Security Stack) – an enterprise system providing a centralized network suite of equipment with various network security capabilities.
- Enterprise SATCOM Gateway Services (ESGS) – 24/7/365 technical and operational support to tactical customers accessing DoD Gateway facilities.
- Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance operations support.
- Missile Defense Agency Ground‑based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Communications Network.
- Other key services include operational engineering, service activations, performance management, configuration management, administration and security.
- Conduct network incident investigation.
- Identify and document network errors and solutions.
- Analyze network and telecommunications alarms and identify potential issues.
- Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, and routers to optimize performance and ensure the desired security posture is attained and maintained.
- Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, phone systems, including phone units, voicemail, switches, infrastructure, call manager systems, Video Teleconference (VTC) systems, video recording/viewing/distribution systems, and related telecommunications trunk circuits.
- Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices.
- High School Diploma and 1–3+ years of relevant technical discipline (additional related years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree).
- Hold DoD‑8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.
- Able to work in a shift work environment as we are a 24/7 operation.
- Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.
- Experience with routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, GVS, Promina, CISCO, MSPP, Optical Switching.
- General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP.
- Currently possess an active Secret security clearance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Sec+, CCNA Security, CySA+, High School diploma and 1–3 yrs. of related experience.
- Able to work in a 24×7 shift work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as will have to deliver information to customer at all levels.
- Currently possess an active Secret security clearance and upgrade to Top Secret.
- Shift schedule: day 7am–3pm, swing 3pm–11pm, midnights 11pm–7am; guaranteed a weekend day off as the schedule is SUN‑THUR or TUE‑SAT; rotates approximately every 3 months.

Pay and BenefitsPay range: $25.00 – $35.00/hr.
