ResponsibilitiesPeraton is looking for an experienced User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) Developer to join our mission of creating Decision Advantage for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM).
Location:
Scott Air Force Base, IL
Role & Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will develop dashboards, user interfaces, maps, and other visualizations to transform data into actionable information to provide leaders with time, space, and options in decision making.
- You will work to modernize the way USTRANSCOM operates and transform the command into a data-driven enterprise.
- Design and develop intuitive user interfaces to optimize the overall user experience.
- Create actionable and user-friendly dashboards, maps, and visualizations to help users consume information and make decisions.
- Work with data scientists and end users to refine usability and interface workflows.
- Advance the mission by connecting customers and their challenges with UI/UX solutions.
- Think creatively and challenge the state‑of‑the‑art.
- Challenge and support teammates. Share ideas. Win together.
- Continuously improve the accuracy, speed, and efficacy of existing tools.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships to support USTRANSCOM.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a BS/BA;
Minimum of 3 years with an MS/MA;
Minimum of 0 years with a PhD. - Experience with development and implementation of enterprise-level UI/UX solutions.
- Demonstrated creative thinker with a mission‑minded focus.
- Possess a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to persist in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active DoW Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of various machine learning methods including classification, regression, time‑series forecasting, neural networks, deep learning, and artificial intelligence.
- Experience with Palantir Foundry.
- Experience with Python and/or PySpark.

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
