BJC Health Care System is hiring a PRN Lab Associate I - Phlebotomy for Memorial East Shiloh - Laboratory-MES (Memorial East Shiloh: 1404 Cross St., Shiloh, IL)

• PRN – Work as needed (one full weekend a month & 2 Holidays a year)
• Not eligible for benefits
• Providing excellent patient care while drawing lab specimens on inpatients & outpatients. Replenishing supplies, provides effective communication.

• 1 year of Phlebotomy experience (preferred but not required)

Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.

• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.

Education:
