Overview Of PositionThis is an upcoming opportunity contingent on contract award.
The Cloud Engineer II supports the execution of a phased migration of operational systems from a legacy Centralized Enclave into a cloud environment hosted in AWS. This role focuses on hands‑on infrastructure provisioning, environment configuration, testing support, and sustainment activities under the direction of senior engineers. This position contributes directly to environment build‑out, validation, and day‑to‑day operational readiness tasks while supporting continued sustainment residual enclave services through final decommissioning.
Key Responsibilities- Provision and configure AWS infrastructure using Terraform under approved designs and standards
- Support sustainment of residual enclave services, including file‑transfer stubs, printer services, and scanner endpoints until decommissioning
- Support migration activities for application, database, and supporting infrastructure tiers
- Assist with preparation and execution of functional, integration, and acceptance testing in non‑production environments
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline components in Git Lab for infrastructure and application deployments
- Support data migration activities, including validation, staging, and post‑migration checks
- Configure and monitor secure file transfer services using AWS Transfer Family and approved tools
- Assist with creation and maintenance of technical documentation, diagrams, and configuration artifacts
- Support ORR and PRR preparation by executing validation tasks and producing supporting evidence
- Monitor infrastructure health and operational dashboards during burn‑in and sustainment periods
- Participate in sprint execution, daily standups, and backlog‑driven tasking
Experience/
Skills:
- 4–6 years of infrastructure or cloud engineering experience
- Experience supporting AWS‑based environments in regulated or Government settings
- Experience supporting testing, validation, or deployment activities
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and Terraform
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git‑based workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or similar certification
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
