We re looking for a team-oriented, driven individual to join our Control Centre Pipeline Operations team at times of incredible growth and opportunity. Role Location and Purpose

Based in our Sherwood Park office, the Control Centre Operator is responsible for the remote monitoring and safe operation of pipeline systems using a SCADA platform. You will play a critical role in maintaining efficient and reliable operations while ensuring compliance with all safety, security, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and remotely control pipeline systems using SCADA technology.
  • Perform emergency corrective actions when required.
  • Optimize pipeline throughput while minimizing energy consumption and operating costs.
  • Monitor leak detection systems to maintain pipeline integrity.
  • Maintain accurate, timely logs and reports documenting operational activity.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate operational or safety issues.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support additional projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience
  • Post secondary diploma in a related technical field (Chemical Engineering, Power Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering Technology preferred) and/or a Trade Certification (Instrumentation, Millwright, Electrical).
  • 5+ years of related oil, industrial, or pipeline field experience, previous control room experience is an asset.
  • Experience working 12 hour rotating shifts (days and nights) is considered a strong asset. Candidates must be comfortable working exclusively within the control centre - no field duties.
  • Understanding of SCADA systems and leak detection is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics and fluid properties.

  • High attention to detail, precision, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Hours and Conditions

Twelve-hour rotational shift including nights and weekends. Overtime may be required on an as needed basis for business continuity. As a condition of employment, commute to work must be safe, lawful and not to exceed 50 minutes of total travel time to or from the work location. As this position is identified as safety and security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment medical with drug/alcohol and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
