Airgas is hiring a Delivery Driver to safely and efficiently deliver compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers. The driver will load, unload, deliver, and return cylinders from an Airgas branch or plant using a company‑provided straight or box truck. Employees enjoy a 7 am start on Monday‑Friday, $26 per hour, quarterly bonus potential, and a modern fleet equipped with vehicle‑friendly technology.
Responsibilities- Safely handle, load, deliver, and unload compressed gas cylinders to external and internal customer locations.
- Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures and returning empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders to a plant or branch for refilling.
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
- Provide warehouse or dock support as needed.
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.
- Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
- Minimum one (1) year of professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record (no more than two convictions, OR two at‑fault accidents, OR a combination of one conviction and one at‑fault accident in the last three years).
- Or acceptable diploma from an accredited driving school plus one year of driving experience within the last five years.
- Age 21 or older.
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lb and occasionally lift 76–125 lb with material handling equipment.
- Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to eight (8) hours; frequent bending required.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must obtain forklift operator certification.
