- Lab process owner in a 24 hr / 7 days production environment
- Develops and implements Quality Assurance Lab metrology protocols and methods to inspect and test in-process materials and finished products to feedback information to manufacturing and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Works directly with QA Lab Technicians, Process Engineers, and Manufacturing.
- Prepares and maintains documentation
- Evaluates and analyzes test results
- Implementation of SPC for metrology and test result reporting
- Supports Engineering tests and customer investigations
- Training and certification of QA lab technicians
- Fully capable to backup other QA Lab Engineers if required
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced degree in relevant technical field
- 2-5 yrs relevant work experience
- Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in Lab processes and measurement systems.
- Display initiative and accept responsibility for own actions to get the job done under general supervision.
- Continuously and actively develop industry and professional knowledge, skills and expertise.
- Understand implications of work, exercise judgment, and discretion in recommending solutions and improvements to processes.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources (e.g., Microsoft Office, other software or hardware, manufacturing systems and equipment, etc.).
- Understanding of Statistics and Statistical Process Control concepts and use in a manufacturing environment
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to explain job-related information to supervisor, and coworkers and possibly others.
- Perform assigned tasks with reliability, honesty, and discretion.
- Fine motor skills are required to prepare solutions and operate lab equipment
- Ability to handle and use chemicals with high precision and accuracy
- Manufacturing cleanroom lab environment
- Ability to work with chemicals, high temp process tools, microscope operation
- Office environment
- Light sedentary office work.
- Minimal lifting
