Overview

Carrus Behavioral Hospital is a new, state-of-the-art, 28-bed child and adolescent behavioral facility. We provide 24-hour inpatient behavioral care for patients ages 5 through 17 who require a safe and therapeutic environment. Our multidisciplinary team, led by a board-certified psychiatrist, provides evidence-based therapies tailored to the needs of each child, adolescent, and family, and our effective management teams ensure that the hospital runs smoothly and that every patient leaves satisfied.

• Provides care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Attends to patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
• Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
• Performs Other Job Duties As Needed And/or As Assigned.

• Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and assist licensed nursing staff with ADLs, Vital Signs, and reports any change in condition to the patients licensed nurse immediately.
• Nursing assistant experience in a behavioral hospital setting is preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.

• BLS certification is required upon hire.
• De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
