KXII 12 is seeking a sports anchor/reporter who will work directly under the sports director, shooting, editing, and reporting on local sports during the week and anchoring sports in our weekend newscasts. Your material will air in the station’s top‑rated newscasts.

• Anchor sports segments
• Report on local sports
• Produce sports coverage
• Film in the field
• Edit video segments
• Write news copy for digital and broadcast
• Identify and tell compelling local sports stories
• Create multimedia‑rich digital news stories and video highlights
• Maintain personal and station social media accounts on local sports items (as needed)

• Comfortable and skilled on camera, live or in studio
• Strong copywriter and video editor
• Problem‑solver, quick thinker, and good communicator
• Storyteller with major focus on sports coverage
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of electronic news gathering, video shooting, and non‑linear editing
• Knowledge of broadcast and digital news writing and social media best practices
• Knowledge of sports rules, leagues, and related subjects
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
