Operate heavy equipment to move construction materials, earth, and rock on heavy‑civil construction sites to build highways, roads, bridges, airport runways, power generation facilities, dams, levees, and other earthen structures, etc.
- Perform daily pre‑operation/inspection checks and complete daily inspection reports.
- Immediately report malfunctioning equipment/components and safety defects to supervisor.
- Complete tasks, assignments and activities given in English.
- Coordinate machine actions with verbal (English) instructions or hand signals.
- Well developed ability to communicate verbally.
- Move levers, push pedals, rotate steering wheels, turn valves to activate hydraulic lines powering booms, sticks, cylinders and heavy equipment implements.
- Proficiently and safely operate and maneuver heavy equipment in remote locations, variety of terrain, and ground conditions, tight spaces and around light or high volume traffic areas.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Travel in and around the company trade area: (CO, MT, ND, NE, SD & WY)
