- Provide high-quality instruction in accordance with the approved course outline of record.
- Participate in general faculty functions related to the educational program and faculty development activities including assessment of student learning outcomes (SLOs).
- Assignments may include day, evening, fully online, hybrid (partially online) and/or weekend courses.
- Part-time, temporary, hourly assignments are on an as-needed basis. Faculty meetings are conducted the week prior to the semester start. Course outlines of record, student learning outcomes to be assessed, and department policies will be provided or reviewed.
- Bachelor’s degree in content area from an accredited college or university; OR an associate’s degree in the field
- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in the field
- A combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of items 1 and 2 above
- Applicants applying on the basis of equivalency must complete all equivalency questions on their application in addition to all other required materials
- Current CWI/CWE or obtain within 3 years
Part-time faculty are eligible for 25% NWCCD tuition discount for the employee during the semester teaching.

Job DutiesInstruct classes as assigned and participate in general faculty functions related to the educational program and faculty development activities. Assignments may include day, evening, and/or weekend courses or online. Use of Canvas as the Learning Management System (LMS) is required for all courses. Applicants must have a laptop with reliable WiFi. Faculty must adhere to NWCCD’s Canvas requirements while ensuring regular, effective contact with students.
