Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team in charge of BRP’s strategy for its finished goods distribution network? Located at BRP’s center of expertise, the team’s main mission is to ensure that the transportation of finished goods is carried out with the ultimate service level while optimizing logistics‑related costs.

The Carrier Management Coordinator will be responsible for executing shipments from shipping yards/distribution centers to North American dealers. This role involves selling loads to the most suitable carriers in terms of rates, capacity and service level, as well as following those loads from Pick‑up to Delivery to ensure proper performance.

Manage Loads
  • Tender the loads to the most adequate carriers (rate, capacity, service level).
  • Adapt your tendering strategy based on market trends, seasonality, financial targets and challenging markets.
  • Track each load daily to ensure Pick‑up and Delivery appointments are taken in a timely manner and that partners meet on‑time standards.
  • Monitor spend and compare vs financial targets.
Carriers Relationship and Performance Management
  • Maintain ongoing communication with carriers and adapt communication styles (system, mail, phone) based on urgency.
  • Build strong, long‑term relationships to ensure consistent capacity and performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and review them with partners regularly.
  • Work closely with the Sourcing team to request extra capacity or to raise performance concerns.
Distribution Center Relationship and Slots Management
  • Ensure distribution centers/shipyards have the required OUT slots to accommodate shipments.
  • Support coordination of IN vs OUT slots and total available slots.
Cross‑functional Collaboration
  • Communicate with transportation planners, cross‑border partners, sourcing and distribution center teams to balance capacity needs.
  • Communicate urgent or high‑priority needs and find quick solutions.
  • Work closely with Customer Service to address shipping issues (refusal, damages, etc.).
Transportation Management System
  • Learn the system’s functionality and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify system glitches and collaborate with support to resolve them.
  • Propose workarounds, identify improvement opportunities, follow enhancement requests, and participate in user acceptance tests.
Key Skills and Qualities
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, TMS platforms and logistics software (e.g., SAP S/4 TM).
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Bilingual in English and French (advanced level).

  • Assess performance metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Self‑driven, initiative‑seeking, autonomous with structure and rigor.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Understanding of regulations and carrier compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Innovative and curious with attention to detail.
  • Adaptable under pressure and capable of shifting gears.

Possibility to travel occasionally: 5%
