A respected Canadian women's apparel brand with a long-standing reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and timeless style is seeking an experienced District Manager to lead a portfolio of retail stores in Ontario and Eastern Canada. With a renewed focus on brand growth and customer connection, the organization is investing in strong field leadership to support store teams and elevate the in-store experience across Canada.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership to a network of stores across Ontario and Eastern Canada. This role will focus on building a strong selling culture, developing high-performing Store Managers, and ensuring consistent brand standards and operational excellence across all locations. Acting as a key bridge between the support centre and the field, the District Manager will coach, inspire, and guide store teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences while driving sales and profitability.

- Lead, mentor, and develop Store Managers across a national portfolio of retail locations
- Reinforce a proactive, service-driven selling culture focused on clienteling, product knowledge, and long-term customer relationships
- Conduct regular store visits to assess operations, coach teams, and identify opportunities to improve performance
- Analyze sales performance, productivity, and operational metrics to drive consistent top-line growth
- Ensure brand standards are upheld across merchandising, visual presentation, store operations, and customer experience
- Build strong teams through recruitment, coaching, succession planning, and performance management
- Collaborate with internal partners across merchandising, e-commerce, and operations to execute retail strategies and initiatives
- Support store openings, relocations, and closures, ensuring seamless operational execution
- Maintain strong retail controls related to payroll, inventory integrity, loss prevention, and expense management
- Serve as a brand ambassador in the marketplace and foster strong relationships within the retail community
- 5–7+ years of progressive multi-unit retail leadership experience, ideally within fashion, apparel, or specialty retail
- Proven ability to lead and motivate store teams across multiple markets while driving sales and profitability
- Strong coaching and leadership capability with a focus on developing Store Managers and building high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret business metrics and translate insights into action
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel extensively across Canada
This role requires significant travel, with approximately 75% of time spent visiting stores across the country and the balance supporting collaboration and strategic planning with the support centre team.
