Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm;

Director of Finance
Nature of Work / Responsibilities- Evaluates the needs of one or more fields of activity of the school board
- Gathers information from users and identifies potential problem areas
- Devises, develops, and recommends possible solutions to problems identified
- Coordinates and ensures the implementation and update of programs
- Ensures that deadlines are respected and proposes the required corrective measures
- Organizes and conducts training and professional development sessions for staff; evaluates and follows up on these sessions
- Conducts necessary analyses to meet the community’s information needs
- Produces statistics, prepares documents or reports, and oversees the use and update of databanks
- Participates in the development and application of standards and procedures for his or her sector; ensures compliance
- May be called upon to conduct research or provide advice on the application of collective agreements, laws, regulations, and administrative rules
- Provides advice to school resources concerned
- Provides advice and support to the management staff of services and educational institutions; plans, coordinates, distributes, and oversees work of support staff pertaining to the mandates and responsibilities of his or her sector
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Member of the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) – preferred
- Experience in the public and para‑governmental sector – preferred
- Fluent in French and English
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer‑service mindset
- Priority management and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data
- Access to a vehicle to travel within the ETSB territory
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
