Client:
Established precision-machining equipment manufacturer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Process Development: Create and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
Cost Management: Analyze existing processes to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining production quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with various teams to identify and resolve issues in manufacturing processes.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis techniques to assess performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Develop cost analysis models to evaluate the effects of process modifications.
Design and Layout :
Involved in designing production layouts and selecting optimal equipment for manufacturing processes.
Innovation: Develop new manufacturing processes aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency.
Set and implement global standards for workstation organization using 5S methods and best practices.
Drive Kaizen projects to improve processes in targeted areas.
Help set up data collection for crucial equipment and ensure this information is accessible to the production team through dashboards.
Develop and review formulas to fine-tune standard times for manufacturing steps, enhancing production planning accuracy.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFIED SKILLS Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and computer programming.
Manufacturing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.
Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with teams, managers, and clients.
Team
Collaboration:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment , particularly in process optimization or engineering roles.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus (great asset).
