The Williams School of Business at Bishop’s University (Sherbrooke, QC) is currently seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Accounting, beginning July 1, 2026. The preferred candidate will hold an earned doctorate (DPhil, PhD, or DBA) in Accounting, along with a CPA designation (CPA Québec preferred).
A commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching in financial accounting and auditing is expected, along with an interest in introducing students to case analysis. A strong track record of teaching is an asset. Candidates should also demonstrate promise of research in Accounting or a related discipline, consistent with the mission of the University and their area of expertise. Courses are taught in person and in English.
A terminal degree in the field is required for tenure. Candidates whose dissertation defense will be completed prior to the beginning of the probationary contract may be considered.
