Position: Department of Drama – Part-time courses – Winter 2026

Department of Drama

In accordance with article 6.2.2.2d of the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, applications are invited for emergency replacement of instructor for the following courses to be offered during the Winter semester of 2026:

DRA 132:
Acting II

Description: Acting II continues the focus on voice and movement. Students will begin character work, research and scene study. Projects are partner based.

The course meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30-12:59. It will be allotted in accordance with the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, including applicable rules of seniority.

DRA 191:
Voice and Media:
An Introduction

Description: Students would work with a foundation of breathing, vocal freedom, and articulation. Students would work with different dialects in English, and would work both live and in recording studio. The acquisition of skills in working with the voice in different media is an important preparation for actors, but also for anyone interested in voiceover for televisual media, games, and recorded communication.

The course meets Tuesdays from 14:30-17:29. The Department seeks a replacement instructor for the first four weeks of this course only – running from January 12, 2026 to February 6, 2026. Remuneration is pro-rated in accordance with the full course stipend specified in the Collective Agreement. The partial course will be alotted in accordance with the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, including the applicable rules of seniority.

Contract Faculty members who have seniority points may simply submit a letter of interest via e-mail. Remuneration for a full course is $9560.92, with travel and marking expenses provided where appropriate.
