Member Reception Agent

Job SummaryThe full‑time, on‑site Member Reception Agent is responsible for welcoming members and customers warmly, quickly understanding their needs, directing them to appropriate services, and ensuring a positive experience. The agent will also support the efficient operation of the front desk, provide general information about Desjardins Group’s service offers, and identify opportunities to strengthen customer trust and satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Consistently adhere to Desjardins service standards when welcoming members and customers to provide a distinctive experience.
- Foster member and customer autonomy by assisting them with optimal use of alternative tools and channels (ATMs, AccèsD Internet and telephone, Desjardins mobile services, , and complementary channels such as the Student Service Centre and Desjardins Bank).
- Ensure members and customers experience a reasonable waiting time; observe reactions and maintain satisfaction.
- Pay attention to members’ and customers’ needs to ensure full satisfaction and seize sales opportunities.
- Strengthen the trust members and customers have in Desjardins by adequately meeting their needs.
- Schedule appointments following the process established by the caisse, as needed.
- Answer and route phone calls and collect and provide general information on an ad‑hoc basis.
- High school diploma or related field.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience; other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of French is required.
- Knowledge of all counter and convenience products and services.
- Knowledge of all Desjardins products and services aimed at caisse members and those offered by business centres, distribution networks/channels, and competitors.
- Knowledge of security measures, legal framework and internal controls.
- Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives.
- Knowledge of reception procedure.
- Knowledge of the general responsibilities of the caisse teams (organizational structure, roles and responsibilities).
- Knowledge of service standards.
