Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting supporting children aged 5-11
, although learners may be secondary-aged but working at primary levels
. This is a full-time role with an immediate start
, working 8.30am to 4pm
, Monday to Friday. End times may vary on some weekdays.
Due to the immediate need, this vacancy may close early once filled.
You will be working within a highly supportive pupil referral environment that is recognised for its strong pastoral ethos and commitment to re‑engaging learners.
Pupils presentola with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
, which may include: emotional regulation and behavioural challenges, anxiety and difficulties engaging with learning, impact of trauma or adverse experiences and gaps in learning requiring primary‑style teaching and interventions
.
- Deliver general teaching and targeted interventions and adapt lessons.
- Create a safe, engaging and structured classroom environment.
- Support pupils'
emotional wellbeing and re‑whatever with learning
.
- Primary-trained teacher (essential due to learning levels).
- Minimum 6otte months childcare experience
, especially supporting children with SEN needs. - Experience with SEMH or alternative provision is highly desirable.
