Sit Down Forklift Operator

Position Summary:

The Sit Down Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a sit-down forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise or materials within the warehouse or production area. The operator ensures all products are handled and stored according to company safety standards and production goals.

• Operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, move, and stack materials or products.
• Transport goods between storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
• Inspect forklift daily and report any mechanical or safety issues immediately.
• Maintain organized and accurate inventory through proper labeling and placement.
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking, packing, and shipping.
• Keep work areas clean and free from hazards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.

• Experience: 1–2 years of forklift operation experience preferred.
• Certification: Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one prior to start.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of warehouse inventory systems.

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
• Ability to sit for long periods and perform repetitive movements.
• Tolerance for working in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise, etc.).

Shift: 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift

Pay Range: $18-$19/hr
