Position: Academic Success Intervention Teacher (2 positions), ZMS 2026-2027
Position Summary:

The Middle School Academic Success Strategy Teacher is responsible for providing targeted academic interventions to students in need of additional support. This position utilizes push-in instructional models to address skill deficits, accelerate learning, and promote success in core content areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide direct instruction to whole group and small groups

* Collect, analyze, and interpret student data to identify learning gaps, monitor progress, and adjust instructional plans accordingly.

* Collaborate with teachers and instructional teams to design and implement effective intervention strategies aligned with school and district initiatives.

* Maintain accurate and timely records of student participation, progress, and instructional adjustments.

* Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress and recommended supports.

* Participate in data team meetings, professional learning communities, and school-wide initiatives related to student achievement and intervention.

* Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on evidence-based intervention practices and adolescent learning strategies.

* Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.

Qualifications:

* Valid middle school teaching license or certification as required by the state (ELA or Math endorsement preferred).

* Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required;
Master's degree preferred.

* Demonstrated knowledge of research-based intervention strategies and progress-monitoring tools.

Experience working with middle school students in an instructional or intervention setting preferred.

* Strong data analysis, organizational, and record-keeping skills.

* Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

* Commitment to supporting equity, inclusion, and high expectations for all students.

This position is for the  school year.

Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the  school year.
