Security Officer

Description

As a Casino Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our casino property and its patrons. Your duties will include responding to security incidents and providing a visible security presence in the casino. You will also observe patrons participating in gambling activities to detect and respond to infractions of house rules. You will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, customer service, and integrity while representing the casino in all interactions with guests.

• Responsible for security functions at assigned stations.
• Maintains constant vigilance to ensure the safety of patrons and employees and company property.
• Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Speaks or signals to supervising personnel using hand, telephone two-way radio, or voice to identify and supply information about suspected violators.
• May transfer monies, chips, and documentation within the casino.
• Examines dice periodically to check for damage or substitution.
• Promotes positive public relations in conjunction with accommodating and friendly customer service.
• Enforces Squaxin Island Gaming Enterprise and regulatory laws and requirements.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Three months related experience and/or training; OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Have or obtain First Aid certification within 90-day probationary period.
• Requires a Valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe’s insurance.
