Twin Totems Cashier

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties inherent to retail sales, merchandising and customer service in accordance to the Twin Totems Standard Operating Procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform cash register operations, including fuel sales and opening and closing of till.

Vend and enter monies into safe.

Clean and stock shelves and coolers as needed.

Prepare Deli food as needed.

Promote and encourage positive customer relations.

Represent the company in a positive manner.

Meet attendance guidelines by reporting to work as scheduled with dependability and consistency.

Maintain professional dress standards and personal appearance as dictated by the policy manual.

Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Read, write, speak and understand English. Read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patrons, clients and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Working knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Word preferred

REASONING ABILITY:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Current Washington Food Handlers Permit.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and may be at risk of electrical shock.

Work in small confined area for short periods of time.

Vision may require the following: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth and ability to adjust focus.

Typical of that in retail there may be a variety of competing noises and communications.
