Founded by a nurse in 1981, we provide one-on-one skilled nursing care throughout Washington State to medically fragile patients in their homes, so they can live with their family in familiar surroundings instead of in a hospital or facility. We are pioneers in the home health nursing field, having brought home the first ventilator-dependent child from Children s Orthopedic Hospital (now Seattle Children s) to live with his family in Yakima.
Today, supporting ventilator-dependent patients in their home has become almost commonplace, but the need for compassionate, skilled care for these medically fragile patients has not changed. We are honored when nurses choose to join us in this extremely rewarding field. Our team members experience nursing the way they always hoped it would be. At Avail, we understand that they are a vital part of the care equation.
Staff members are listened to and treated with respect.
As a Private Duty RN/LPN, you are the face of Avail Home Health & Senior Care Management. Most of your time is spent providing skilled nursing care one-on-one with patients in their homes. Because of you, they are able to be at home with their families, go to school, movies, camp, and more. Your compassionate presence and positive attitude make a big impact on the patient s whole household.
You are careful about keeping the charting up-to-date and accurate. You communicate effectively and respectfully with your patient and their family members, collaborating with them and other healthcare providers. You love your job!
