1.0 FTE/ Full-time position is scheduled for 8-HR variable shifts 40 hours a week, scheduled call required.
CompensationExempt, $300,000 - $346,000 annually
Additional CompensationStudent Loan Repayment Assistance OR a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus, conditions apply.

Administers anesthesia to patients undergoing various diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and obstetric procedures. Ensures patient safety by closely monitoring anesthetized and sedated patients. Reports on patient’s conditions and reactions throughout procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Examines patient’s histories for illnesses or allergies that will affect anesthesia.
- Conducts pre-anesthesia assessment of patient; provides education to patient about procedure and recovery as well as impacts of anesthesia.
- Orders appropriate diagnostic/laboratory studies.
- Administers pre-anesthetic medication, general anesthesia and adjuvant drugs; determines type, amount, dosages.
- Monitors, interprets, manages and responds to information obtained from monitors intraoperatively.
- Conducts post-anesthesia assessment and management.
- Executes regional anesthesia techniques to include:neuraxial blocks (spinals/epidurals) and peripheral nerve blocks (interscalene, axillary, supraclavicular, adductor canal, femoral, popliteal, bier, TAP).
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
- Current RN and ARNP licensure for the state of Washington; complies with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing.
- Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrates current competency in the clinical responsibilities for nurse anesthesia.
- Additional clinical responsibilities include:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation management
- Invasive and noninvasive monitoring
- Mechanical ventilation/oxygen therapy
- Drug preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment to keep in safe operating condition
- Appropriate accounting of controlled substances
