Registered Nurse 3
Fulltime, Permanent
Location: Washington Corrections Center, Shelton, WA
Salary Range: $8,649 – $14,172 per month
Schedule: Saturday – Tuesday, 14:00 – 00:30
Responsibilities- Provide clinical oversight of all nursing personnel under this position’s supervision.
- Teach, instruct, monitor, supervise, and evaluate the implementation of tasks and the results of patient care assigned to staff nursing personnel.
- Ensure nursing personnel are in attendance, capable, and technically competent to practice as assigned.
- Hold staff accountable for reporting to and performing work as scheduled and assign work to be performed by other nursing personnel.
- Perform staff evaluations and manage medication administration and medication storage areas.
- Plan the delivery of health care, defining time frames, and prioritize and sequence care.
- Analyze and evaluate the structure, process, and efficiency of service delivery, medical records documentation, and other nursing procedures.
- Train, monitor, and supervise nursing staff and facilitate orientation process for new nursing staff and agency nurses.
- Assess, monitor, and interpret objective and subjective data; diagnose health problems and determine outcomes.
- Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and via computer or other electronic media with offenders, families, and health care personnel while protecting confidentiality.
- Actively participate in coordinated quality improvement projects and programs, serving as lead for at least one local quality improvement project per year.
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Two years experience working as a Registered Nurse.
- Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in the State of Washington as a Registered Nurse.
- Or:
Unencumbered multi‑state compact license and required training, or American Heart Association CPR certification and computer proficiency. - Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
