Description

The director of business development must be a motivated individual who has proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain productive internal and client relationships. This is an outside sales position with the prospective client base being primarily defense lawyers who defend insured clients in civil lawsuits and need forensic engineers to ultimately serve as expert witnesses. Insurance claims professionals are also targets for business development and assist with cultivating and growing the existing client base.

Required Qualifications
  • B.S. and or M.S. degree or relevant experience in the insurance industry or law community.
  • At least 5 to 10 years’ experience in sales.
  • Travel up to 25%, mainly throughout the Northeast region.
  • Exceptional client engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and client communication skills.
  • Highly skilled in client interaction and stakeholder management.
  • Expertise in delivering client-focused solutions and support.
  • Strong client partnership and collaboration capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing client expectations and satisfaction.
  • Designing impactful presentations and implementing market penetration strategies to drive growth and brand visibility.
  • Cultivating and strengthening client relationships while expanding strategic partnerships through targeted networking initiatives and professional social platforms such as Linked In.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to efficiently complete detailed work.
  • Exhibits effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver timely work based on client needs.
  • Collaborative and friendly with the ability to work independently and with clients.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
