Part-Time LPN - Care Nurse Supervisor Traditional
Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care during day and evening shifts. The role requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts of 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and/or 3:00 PM–10:00 PM.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, and home‑like environment, working closely with a dedicated team to build a supportive community.
Responsibilities- Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
- Observe and report significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
- Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
- Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their role.
- Coordinate care needs with community providers via an effective case‑management process.
- Balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
- Recognize and assist in preventing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and report to appropriate sources as required by state regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system calls and know when to call for backup.
- Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification.
- Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position highly desirable.
