The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a paraprofessional person who is specifically trained, competent, and performs assigned functions of personal care to the patient in their residence under the direction, instruction, and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).

- Perform personal care, bath and hands‑on care as assigned.
- Complete appropriate visit records in a timely manner as per Agency policy.
- Report changes in the patient’s condition and needs to the RN.
- Perform household services essential to health care in the home as assigned.
- Ambulate and exercise the patient as assigned and assist with medications that are ordinarily self‑administered as assigned.
- Perform simple procedures as an extension of the therapy or nursing services; e.g. range of motion (ROM) exercises as assigned.
- A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
- Must have Certified Home Health Aide credentials in the state of agency operation.
- Must have current BLS Certification.
- One year of healthcare experience in healthcare settings such as home health, hospice, or long‑term care.
- Access to reliable transportation required.
