OBJECTIVEThe Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, treasury, and information technology operations of the company. This role partners closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, and Senior Leadership Team to drive both short term and long-term strategic growth, ensure financial integrity, optimize operational efficiency, and support the company’s expansion objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide executive leadership across finance, accounting, treasury, fp and a, and it operations.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the ceo, board of directors, and senior leadership team, providing financial insight, analysis, and recommendations to support growth and operational decision making.
- Assess and evaluate financial performance relative to long term goals, strategic initiatives, budgets, and forecasts.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management, including monthly profit and loss reporting by division, forecast versus budget analysis, and thirteen week rolling cash flow projections.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee monthly and annual operating budgets, long range financial plans, and capital planning activities.
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, month end close, financial statement preparation, internal controls, tax compliance, and external audits.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial and management reporting for leadership, the board, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Recommend and manage external auditors, serving as the primary point of contact for all audit activities.
- Ensure compliance with gaap, ifrs, cas, itar, and applicable regulatory and audit requirements.
- Manage cash flow planning, working capital, investments, and asset management while maintaining strong banking and financial partner relationships.
- Oversee weekly cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, including approval of significant disbursements and collection strategies.
- Identify, implement, and optimize financial systems, erp platforms, and reporting tools to improve visibility, scalability, and efficiency.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives across departments in partnership with it leadership.
- Participate in critical strategic and operational decisions, ensuring financial discipline and alignment with company objectives.
- Hire, develop, mentor, and lead high performing finance and accounting teams while guiding cross divisional initiatives beyond direct reporting lines.
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and participate in pivotal decisions related to strategic initiatives and operational models.
- Communicate, engage, and interact regularly with the Board of Directors, CEO, and Senior Leadership Team.
- Work directly with the CEO to create and establish yearly financial objectives aligned with the company’s growth and expansion plans.
- Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization in relation to long term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Provide insight and recommendations supporting both short term execution and long term growth strategies.
- Interact with and align departments to the Board of Directors’ plans, initiatives, and recommendations.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and processes as deemed appropriate by senior leadership.
