Position: Psychiatrist
Location: Shelton, Connecticut
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Call
A well-regarded healthcare facility in Shelton, Connecticut, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join its behavioral health team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care in a collaborative and supportive environment that values quality, compassion, and work-life balance.
As a non-profit institution affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine and other academic partners, the facility offers a broad range of clinical services, including emergency care, advanced imaging, minimally invasive surgery, and behavioral health services.
- Open to newly trained graduates.
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy for adult and/or geriatric patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and primary care providers.
- Participate in case reviews, treatment planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Provide consultation support as needed for outpatient behavioral health services.
- Uphold ethical standards and adhere to best clinical practices.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Active Connecticut medical license or eligibility to obtain.
- Open to newly trained graduates.
