Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver in Shelbyville, KY. The driver will be responsible for transporting freight within the specified routes and maintaining safe driving practices. Pay is $2000 or more per week, with additional incentives.

Pay & Schedule
  • Weekly pay of $2000+.
  • Hours:

    50+ hours per week, 3–5 nights per week.
  • Solo miles: $0.61 per mile (2,400–2,800 miles per week).
  • Drop and hook: $15.00 per drop/hook.
  • Paid training.
  • Schedule options:
    Sunday – Thursday, Monday – Friday, or Tuesday – Saturday.
  • Dispatch start time: 2:00 AM – 8:00 AM.

    Open‑top containers, flatbed, and Conestoga (48' & 53').
  • Freight:
    No‑touch aluminum.
Requirements
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Pass Ryder drug test.
  • Pass Ryder background, motor‑vehicle check, and drug/alcohol verification for the last 3 years.
  • Pass DOT physical.
  • Pass Ryder road test.
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
  • Class A experience: 9 months in past 3 years OR 2 years in past 5 years OR 5 years in past 10 years.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, regulations, and company policies.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
