Mobile Testing Technician
As one of the largest utility distribution organizations in America, Irby Utilities is uniquely positioned to provide dynamic solutions to essential utility services impacting our local and broader communities.
Responsibilities- Inspect and clean mechanical hoists, ground sets, mechanical jumpers, rubber cover up, and hot sticks
- Build custom mechanical jumpers and ground sets
- Perform annual and DOT inspections of bucket trucks
- Follow all employer health/safety rules and operating procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Background in repairing hydraulic systems or tools
- Preferred background in repairing mechanical, battery, electric and gas‑powered tools
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
- Clean MVR required and the ability to travel 70% of the time
- Requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work different shifts (days/evenings) and some weekends
- Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
