Talis Group’s client is a locally owned, leading distributor of equine products. They are adding an Account Manager to their sales team in the Shelbyville, KY area. This industry leader’s success is earned with a strong commitment to excellence and exceptional service to their customers. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing Dealer Partners and making sure they have what they need to be successful.

This is a relationship-fostering role. If you are motivated, have a passion for people and an interest in the equine industry, this may be for you! (Product training provided.) M-F.

Position will require about 30% travel.

Salary $65 – $75K (based on direct experience) +
Excellent Benefits Package and retirement program.

Highlighted Duties
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of markets in assigned region.
  • Foster and maintain long-term relationships with partners. No “hunting” needed.
  • Work closely with dealers in assigned region to ensure they have everything needed for optimal success.
  • Respond to potential new dealers within your region.
  • Review daily order activity of sales area.
  • Assist in problem-solving by identifying substitutions or replacements if needed.
  • Assist in communications with dealers regarding any issues, like order/stock situations.
  • Attend/Conduct dealer events and provide information/feedback regarding product enhancements/ development.
  • Assist with developing marketing plans and strategies.
  • Record all interactions using CRM system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work individually and as a team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required by the role. Approximately 30%.
  • Helpful but not required: familiarity with equine industry practices, terminology, and products.
