This is a full-time, on-site role located in Shelbyville, IN, for a Security Systems Installer. The role involves installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining security systems, including surveillance cameras, access controls, and related hardware. Additionally, they will run the required low voltage cables required for the job. The Security Systems Installer will also troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, conduct routine maintenance, and ensure systems meet company and client security standards.
This individual will work closely with the team and clients to develop customized installation plans that address specific security requirements while maintaining professionalism and quality workmanship at all times.
- Experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems, such as surveillance systems, and access control systems
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring, cabling, and connectivity, with the ability to work from schematics and technical drawings
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools and electrical testing equipment related to system setup and repair
- Effective communication skills for training users, clarifying technical instructions, and client interaction during installations
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Capability to complete physical tasks, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in various environments
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for installation and service appointments
- Training or certifications in electronics, security systems, or a related field are a plus
- Previous experience in CCTV, access control systems, or alarm installation is preferred but not mandatory
