Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with Home Health and Homecare Homebase charting experience to provide care to adult patients in a home health setting.

Job Details

• Home health setting serving Cleveland, Gaston, and Rutherford Counties,

• Adult patient population (18+), no pediatrics,

• Typical caseload is 6-7 weighted visits per day, including 2 admissions daily,

• Common diagnoses include wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, foley and suprapubic catheters, feeding tubes, peripheral and central IVs, diabetes, heart failure, and medication management,

• Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; weekends and holidays as needed per interview discussion,

• Support provided by leadership, case management, LPNs, CNAs, and peers,

• EMR system used is Homecare Homebase (HCHB),

• 2-day departmental orientation provided after facility NEO,

Job Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required,

• BLS certification required,

• Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance required,

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, with recent home health experience strongly preferred,

• Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) charting required,

• Proficiency in wound care, wound vacs, PICC line dressing changes, port access, IV infusions, infection control, and catheter insertion required,

• Ability to drive at night is necessary,

• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the home unit,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include admissions, skilled nursing visits, wound management, IV therapy, and disease management in the home,

• Oasis documentation and hospice philosophy may be needed,

• Navy scrubs are required as the dress code,

• Time off requests require manager approval,

• First-time travelers are considered if they have prior home health RN experience,
