• About Facility: 201

o Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
• Unit Information:
o Beds: 32
• Census? Average patients/day? 32
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months Med/Tele RN experience
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Stroke, Respiratory Illnesses:
Flu/Pneumonia/COVID, Renal Failure, Peritoneal Dialysis, Wounds, etc.
• Patient Ratios:
o RN: 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8
o LPN (if applicable): 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8
o CNA: 1:10
• Required Licensure & Certifications:
o RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Skills required:
o Basic Med/Tele skillset:
Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, Central line management, etc.
• Support within the Department:
o CNA - ADLs, mobility, feeding
o No HUC
o Charge nurse - may or may not have patient assignment
o Phlebotomy? Yes
o IV/VAT Team? Yes
o RT, 24/7
o Hospitalist, 24/7
o Intensivist, 24/7
o Telemetry monitoring/tech? Yes

o Unit specific equipment: VNO (virtual nursing - 10 cameras)
• Virtual RNs can act as 2nd RN Witness for certain meds, can closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, can assist with Admission/Discharge items, etc.
• Floating:
o Within region and scope of practice
o Will be required to float per region needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice - Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH). If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
