About the Opportunity/Position Highlights
  • Level III Trauma facility
  • Opportunities include Neuro, OB with opportunity for regional and labor epidural service,
    Pediatrics, Ortho, Plastics, Dental, ENT, Podiatry and NORA (non-OR anesthesia).
  • Shift opportunities offer a wide variety including days, afternoons, nights, overnight call, with possibilities of 8, 10, 12, 24-hour options. Concentration in overnight call available.
  • Opportunity to participate in committees, teaching opportunities available for varied allied health care learners as well as SRNAs from the CMC/UNCC Nurse Anesthesia Program & the University of Wake Forest School of Nurse Anesthesia.

Candidate Highlights

NC RN licensure required. Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia required. CRNA licensure required. BLS and ACLS PALS from AHA required

Manages 6,000 cases annually. Specialties include General, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Robotics, Urology, Plastics, ENT, Dental, Podiatry, MRI, Cath Lab, Vascular, Thoracic, Pediatrics, Endoscopy, and Bronchoscopy.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles necessary supplies and equipment, and administers intravenous, spinal, and other anesthetics prior to surgical or other medical procedures. Monitors patients’ reactions and vital signs during and after anesthesia and takes remedial action when warranted. Submits postoperative report on patients’ condition and maintains records of anesthetics administered.
