NC Pre-K Teacher

This position has an end date of June 1, 2026.

• Candidates must hold and/or be eligible to hold the Birth-Kindergarten (014) or Pre-K (015) license area.
• Non-licensed, residency licensure candidates are eligible based upon holding a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA, and 24 semester hours of related courses in early childhood development;
• Examples of related courses include:
  Child Development, Early Childhood, Psychology
• Eligibility for the residency entry license must be established prior to a contract offer.
• K-6 licensed candidates (with at least 24 semester hours of Early Childhood coursework) will be considered but must be willing to obtain a provisional license and complete the requirements to obtain Pre-K licensure.

• Compassionate and empathetic toward children
• Very strong classroom management skills are needed
• Have experience with Creative Curriculum and writing quality lesson plans
• Experience working with preschool age children preferred (including children with disabilities)
• Organizational skills are required
• Excellent computer skills
• Above average communication skills
• Good rapport with parents
