Locum Tenens - Pediatric Endocrinologist in North Carolina starting this Summer! We are seeking a qualified Pediatric Endocrinologist to provide locum tenens coverage near Shelby, North Carolina. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment providing critical care and support to pediatric patients. The position is for a three-month duration, from June 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025, with flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.
Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care in pediatric endocrinology, including consultation and management of endocrine disorders. Offer phone call support for the hospital/ER and "mommy clinic" inquiries, with unrestricted home call responsibilities. Perform new diabetic consults, requiring at least one visit to meet the family and arrange follow-up care. Collaborate with hospitalists who handle admissions and patient management, providing necessary phone support.
Work an 8-hour day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with evening call coverage. Qualifications Board certification in Pediatric Endocrinology is required. Active North Carolina medical license and DEA certification are mandatory at the time of application.
Experience with Cerner Power chart EMR is preferred. Support and Resources Work alongside a dedicated support team, including one RN, one LPN, one MA, and a referral coordinator/scheduler.
