E.S. Wagner Company, LLC has an excellent opportunity for a Project Superintendent. A sample of the position's duties and responsibilities include:
- Lead and direct onsite construction activities including clearing, excavation, earthwork, storm drainage, waterline installation, subgrade preparation, aggregate base placement, traffic control, MSE wall construction, finishing operations, and coordination with subcontractors performing paving, survey, guardrail, striping, and signage work.
- Oversee day-to-day field operations for roadway, bridge, and heavy civil construction projects from mobilization through final completion.
- Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal bridge construction teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor and inspect work in progress to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Manage labor, equipment, and material resources to support project schedules, budgets, and overall project performance.
- Conduct jobsite inspections, lead field coordination meetings, and proactively address field challenges to maintain project momentum.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Inspectors to maintain clear communication and support successful project delivery.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate foremen’s activities to ensure work assignments, personnel, and equipment are properly scheduled and utilized.
- 5-10 years related experience
- Knowledge of survey controls and grade checking
- Proficiency with Intelligent GPS machine grade controls and automatics, preferred
- Competency in reading civil construction plans
- Strong preference with DOT/ roadway experience
