Application Engineer - Robotics Sim Expert

Summary:

We are seeking an Application Engineer to join Visual Components (a KUKA company) where we are building 3D simulation tools to plan and optimize production facilities. We believe that 3D simulation is the future of planning, and we want to make it easily accessible. With solutions for manufacturing design, sales, and application development, our software is trusted by hundreds of organizations worldwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be working in the Simulation Experts team as an Application Engineer to ensure that our customers, which include machine builders, system integrators, and manufacturers, can use the Visual Components products and services successfully. Your duties include:

  • Product presentations and demonstrations with Sales, acting as the Subject Matter Expert
  • Development of simulation components and the component library
  • Training customers
  • Product documentation and tutorials
  • Consultancy projects
  • Attending exhibitions and trade shows

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with excellent technical skills in automation, production, computer science, or a similar field. Ideally, you are not afraid of training or talking to a group of people either online or on-site, and you know how to write scripts to automate tasks. Most importantly, you are eager to learn and help others.

Education and/or Experience

  • Experience in programming
  • Ability to travel for work (20% travel)
  • Experience with 3D modeling and/or 3D simulation tools
  • Python or .Net skills
  • Work experience in production, automation, and robotics
