Warehouse Team Manager

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity based at Paragon's Sheffield site. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Team Manager within the Goods In department is responsible for running a highly efficient and agile warehouse department by supporting and leading a warehouse team to ensure the requirements of the customer are delivered and the goals and objectives of the business are met. To work alongside the Fulfilment and Production Planning departments to ensure distributions are fulfilled to SLA.

Hours:

Monday to Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm

Main duties would include:

* Maintain an accurate up to date stock inventory system.

* Organise the off-loading, receipting and storage of goods in line with the warehouse standard operational procedures and ensure all relevant documentation is kept.

* To understand and be responsible for the safe unloading / loading of vehicles etc. Including the entry, control and the Movement and parking of trailers.

* Ensure prestart checks are conducted and documented at the start of each shift and any defects are reported immediately to the Warehousing Manager.

* Maintain all operational equipment to a high standard reporting any defects immediately

* Accept delivery of goods into the warehouse in accordance with the company delivery specification and report any report any non-compliant deliveries to the relevant department

* Sort and store materials/items onto racking and shelving and accurately record the stock location on the computerised stock system
• Deliver goods to production in a timely manner

* In conjunction with the Stock Management Team, manage/oversee the perpetual inventory checks scheduled ensuring stock is counted in the allocated timeframe

* Alongside the Warehouse Manager Review documentation (SOP’s) and working practices with a view to improving operational efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.

* Organise the removal of waste from the warehouse ensuring waste goes into the correct waste stream

* Maintain the highest possible quality of service and standards within the team by carrying out spot checks and auditing work.

* Collaborate with other managers to identify recurring problems and agree, initiate and monitor relevant corrective action.

Skills and Attributes we are looking for

* Previous experience leading a team of people within a warehouse envrionment

* Excellent time management and organisational skill

* Proficient use of information technology such as Microsoft, Excel, Explorer, and office products

* Problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines

* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels

* Demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm

* Have good attention to detail, being thorough and analytical

* Good understanding of warehouse metrics including O.T.I.F requirements

* An expert knowledge of the print industry and practices is desirable

* Forklift truck licence desirable
