We are seeking a highly organised and attentive Word Press Developer to join our team. In this role, you’ll build custom Word Press sites for our diverse range of clients, bringing their visions to life through engaging and functional web design, as well as assisting with general work to assist the web team.

What the role involves
In this role, you will:
Build custom Word Press sites based on client designs
Communicate progress to clients and incorporate feedback
Handle occasional maintenance requests and perform site updates
Ensure timely project completion with high standards
Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless projects
To ensure you feel supported and integrated into our team, we offer regular weekly meetings, catch-ups, and performance reviews, fostering an environment of open communication and continuous professional development.
The role is a permanent full time position (40 hours per week) and requires a minimum of 3 days per week from our office in central Sheffield (You need to be legally allowed to work in the UK.)
What skills you’ll need
To excel in this role, you will need:
Proficiency in building and customising Word Press websites
Basic knowledge of PHP for custom Word Press development
Experience with HTML, CSS, and Java Script
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills for client interactions
Familiarity with (or an openness to learn) our preferred development stack, which includes:
Word Press - the foundation of nearly all our projects
Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) via PHP - for creating flexible, tailored content structures
Twig templates (via Timber) - helping us keep our code clean, reusable, and easy to maintain
SCSS - making our front-end styles more organised and efficient
