Location: HMP Bedford – St Loyes Street, Bedford MK40
Salary: £39,579.20 + 5% shift allowance for weekend work + £1000 in RRA per annum
Contract: Full time/Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Bedford, a Category B & adult/male prison.

As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from various trades, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Qualifications- Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
- Two years' experience working in a role as a fully qualified electrician
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
