We have an opportunity for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join our Commercial Gas Management team, based in Sheffield, covering surrounding areas. You will be required to safely, efficiently, and professionally deliver installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems and associated mechanical equipment. The role ensures compliance with industry regulations, supports operational reliability for customers, and contributes to safe and effective gas network or plant operations.
The role of Commercial Gas Engineer will include:
- Carry out installation, fault fixing, maintenance duties, installation and commissioning of gas central heating systems within commercial properties
- Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
- Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed

We work closely with the Home Office in order to prevent unlawful working. A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application which we will pay for. Qualifications- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, COCN1 / CODNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, CIGA1, CORT1, CDGA1
CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, Gas Auditing Qualification, HTR1, Unvented - G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS)- Or currently undertaking the qualifications. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted. - Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Excellent communication and customer care skills
- Working knowledge of the installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating systems in commercial properties
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

- Role salary is £43,418 with an additional policy allowance of £2,579 per annum
