Job Overview

University of Sheffield – Full Time electrical maintenance position (35 hours per week). Closing Date: TBC.

We have an exciting opportunity in the Engineering and Maintenance Team for someone with a passion for electrical maintenance who is looking to make a difference in the University, by helping to maintain its buildings to a world class standard.

• Specialise in electrical maintenance, focusing on commercial and industrial installations and maintenance procedures.
• Support other members of the maintenance team, including domestic installation practices.
• Carry out pre-programmed inspections of electrical installations and associated remedial works.
• Perform physical work, manual handling, carry tools and equipment across campus.
• Ascend and descend ladders and use access equipment as required.
• Follow instructions and exercise initiative when necessary.

• Qualified electrician with experience of electrical installation, maintenance and repairs.
• Technical knowledge of current electrical best practice techniques.
• Ability to work as part of a team or alone.
