Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer – Sheffield

Airco Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Ltd is hiring an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer for our Sheffield facility.

Full‑Time, Salaried

Up to £20 per hour – dependent on experience

Airco serves a prestigious customer base across pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, telecoms, education, IT, retail, healthcare and local authorities. In this role you will support our growing Engineering team by carrying out planned and preventative maintenance and responding to service calls for a wide variety of refrigeration and air‑conditioning systems.

• Mobile engineer
• Diagnose and resolve faults in equipment and systems
• Carry out routine planned preventive maintenance
• Work to the highest standards of workmanship and safety
• Promote and apply best practice procedures
• Participate in a 24‑hour call‑out rota
• Assist with site surveys, reports and quotes for new and existing customers

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, F‑Gas/EN 378 compliant
• Proficient technical knowledge in refrigeration and electrical principles
• Hands‑on experience with VRV systems, cold rooms, close control units, chilled water systems and chillers
• Fault‑finding experience on a range of equipment, including data centre cooling and water chillers
• Good understanding of industry standards, legislation and compliance requirements
• Positive and pro‑active approach, well‑organised and effective communicator
• High level of professionalism and customer service
