Sales Executive – Tilbury – Up to £32,500 plus commission
Our client, a freight forwarder based in Essex, is looking for a Sales Executive to join their growing team.
As Sales Executive, you will be tasked to identify and source new business opportunities, leveraging your own leads and those provided by the Sales and Operations teams.
- Location: Tilbury, Essex
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
- Salary: Up to £32,500 plus commission
As a Sales & Development Executive, you will:
- Develop new sales across FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight for both imports and exports.
- Operate flexibly, with responsibilities both in-office and in the field.
- Bring transferable business connections (advantageous but not essential).
- Prepare accurate quotations, ensuring the inclusion of all relevant terms and clauses.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in freight sales (sea, air, and road) within a freight forwarding environment.
- UK based with RTW (No sponsorship is on offer)
- A proven track record in sales and business development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the global freight industry.
- Exceptional negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A collaborative and dynamic team spirit.
- Outstanding English and mathematics skills.
